The method for predicting acute purulent otitis media in children is carried out as follows: in children aged 2 to 12 years inclusive with acute otitis media, the leukocyte shift index is determined. With a leukocyte shift index of more than 2.08, the development of acute purulent otitis media is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides prediction of the possibility of development of acute purulent otitis media in order to further determine the tactics of patient management at the outpatient stage and in the admission and diagnostic department.
