FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to functional diagnostics in cardiology. Outpatient monitoring of the systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure is conducted in a group of individuals or individually in a patient. Monitoring is therein conducted in the winter and summer seasons. The hourly coefficient of the correlation between the systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure is then determined for each season. Then the hourly ambulatory arterial stiffness index is calculated for each season as the difference between one and the hourly coefficient of the correlation between the systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure for each season. Then, for each hour, the indicators of the ambulatory arterial stiffness index of the winter and summer seasons are compared. If the indicator is increased by more than 10% inclusive from the lowest, a conclusion is made that the risk of vascular catastrophes in this season at the studied time of the day is increased.
EFFECT: method provides a possibility of assessing the risk of vascular catastrophes in the winter or summer season at the studied time of day for prevention thereof.
