SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to histology, pathological anatomy, and forensic medicine. For differentiated staining of elastic and collagen fibres, a material fixed in a 10% solution of neutral formalin is taken. The material is laid and enclosed in paraffin. Slices with a thickness of 2 mcm are made of the paraffin blocks. After deparaffinisation in xylene, the preparation is placed in dehydrated alcohol, then in 90% alcohol. The preparation is transferred from 90% alcohol to a resorcinol-fuchsin solution for 15 minutes. Then the preparation is quickly washed first in tap water, then in distilled water, then in a 1% acetic acid solution. The surface of the slice is dried with filtering paper, and a solution of durable green F.C.F. is applied thereto. After 2 minutes, the preparation is rinsed with a 1% solution of acetic acid and placed in a 1% solution of acetic acid for 5 minutes. The preparation is dehydrated, clarified and enclosed in a synthetic mounting medium.

EFFECT: method provides a possibility of detecting elastic and collagen fibres on one histological preparation, wherein the elastic fibres are purple and the collagen fibres are coloured in various shades of green, while also reducing the time and amount of used reagents.
