FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technique of ground testing of elements of aircraft (EA), namely to means of reproducing aerodynamic thermal effects on EA in ground conditions. A method for thermal testing of aircraft elements is proposed, which includes heating the outer surface of the aircraft elements, measuring the temperature and blowing the heated surface with a gas stream along the outer surface of the product towards the fore body and towards the end of the aircraft elements. At the same time, a screen made of heat-resistant material is mounted in the section passing through the upper end of the fiberglass ring. Blowing from the side of the fore body is carried out by air, and from the side of the end by an inert gas, which is directed at the line of intersection of the screen plane with the outer surface of the elements of aircraft.
EFFECT: prevention of ignition of flammable components of the ceramic fairing, for example fiberglass rings, during ground thermal tests in radiation heating installations.
