FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground testing of aircraft elements, namely, to methods of reproducing aerodynamic thermal effect on missile head part in ground conditions. Disclosed is a method of controlling heating during thermal testing of ceramic fairings, which includes zone radiation heating of the fairing front surface by infrared heaters with reflective screens. Fairings are heated in series in single mode according to preset temperature mode of frontal surface and synchronously recorded readings of temperature sensors installed on reflective screens, form their archive taking into account number of fairings, temperature readings of the reflecting screens are summed and averaged, the values of which are then used to set the temperature of the frontal surface of the tested cowling.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of reliability of conducted thermal tests of antenna missors of missiles due to additional indirect monitoring of temperature of frontal surface of tested cowling by thermal state of reflecting screens.
