FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of thermal testing of aircraft elements, in particular ceramic fairings of rockets. Proposed method of thermal loading of rocket fairings from nonmetallic materials includes zone radiant heating of the fairing and temperature measurement. Heating of the fairing local area is performed through a metal screen installed near its surface, at that temperature of the surface of the fairing local area is corrected by application of the coating with the required degree of blackness on the internal and external surfaces of the metal screen. Introduction of proposed method allows to expand technical capabilities of test equipment for ground development of new structures of rocket equipment due to higher accuracy of setting thermal conditions.
EFFECT: high accuracy of setting temperature field in local areas of tested articles.
