FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, is used in the open development of flooded mineral deposits. The method of opencast mining of watered mineral deposits includes opening and working out of a quarry field, consisting of sequential mining of overburden and production benches, after which the water level in the mined open pit is controlled to prevent flooding of the lower ledge. At each next run, the upper overburden benches are worked out sequentially from top to bottom with the movement of the overburden slurry into the overburden dump. The lower overburden ledge is mined with the transshipment of overburden into an embankment. After mining the overburden benches, the mining benches are worked out. A water intake trench runs along the soil of the lower layer along the entire width of the open pit bottom to collect atmospheric precipitation and groundwater and to regulate the water level in the mined open pit space with the transfer of rocks into the embankment, which, together with the embankment from the transshipment of overburden of the lower overburden ledge, functions of a protective dam overburden dump.
EFFECT: elimination of drainage operations and storage of the bulk of overburden in the overburden dump formed in the mined-out pit, while reducing costs and increasing overall safety.
