FIELD: power supply.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus of an electromechanical adjustable high-voltage modular power source forming high voltage and low voltage with a large current of each module is intended for connection to sections of the load of the consumer, containing a high voltage load and a low voltage load with a high current, wherein the output high voltage sources of the apparatus are connected in series. The apparatus includes a propeller, a unit for transmitting the momentum of the propeller to the shafts of rotating insulators passing through each module, wherein the module has a unit for transmitting the momentum from the rotating insulators to the generator shaft, a rectifier unit, an auxiliary power source, a low-voltage current source, a high-voltage converter, a module control system, a module control controller. The apparatus provides a possibility to build power supply systems based thereon for series-connected sections of high-voltage systems with a total voltage from tens of kilovolts to units of megavolts, requiring simultaneously a high potential on the section relative to others, as well as power supply for the circuits of a section with high current consumption at low voltage, e.g., magnet windings, cooling system drives, propellers of trimming elements or pumps, mechanisation, filaments and heating systems, ion sources, ultra high frequency equipment, sensors and control systems.

EFFECT: primary application of the proposed apparatus is power supply of sections of single- and multi-beam linear electrostatic accelerators with a magnetic system for focusing, retaining and stabilising a particle flow.
