FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: harvester (1) for grinding harvested crop (2) contains at least one preparation device (6) for preparing ground harvested crop (2), as well as at least two caterpillar propellers (8) located at opposite ends of the front axis of forage harvester (1). By means of preparation device (6), it is possible to at least partially grind harvested crop (2). Preparation device (6) is made with the possibility of being transferred from its active position, in which it is in active coupling with other working devices of the forage harvester, to a passive position, in which preparation device (6) is removed from the specified active coupling. Preparation device (6) is made with the possibility of being removed from its passive position from the other part of forage harvester (1). Each of caterpillar propellers (8) contains two main wheels (9) located one after the other in the longitudinal direction of forage harvester (1), as well as opposite each other, at least one auxiliary wheel (10) located between main wheels (9), as well as at least one caterpillar belt (11) covering main wheels (9). Free cross-section (13) is provided, located on dismantling side (15) of forage harvester (1), through which it is possible to remove preparation device (6) from its passive position on the side of the forage harvester, as well as on top of caterpillar propeller (8) corresponding to dismantling side (15), from the other part of forage harvester (1). A method for re-equipping harvester (1) contains stages, at which preparation device (6) is transferred from the active position, in which preparation device (6) is in active coupling with other working devices of forage harvester (1), to the passive position, in which it is removed from the specified active coupling, preparation device (6) is moved from its passive position relatively to the other part of forage harvester (1) until it is completely outside forage harvester (1). The method additionally contains a stage, at which preparation device (6) is removed on dismantling side (15) of forage harvester (1) in the direction transverse to longitudinal axis (14) of forage harvester (1), on the side of forage harvester (1), as well as on top of caterpillar propeller (8) corresponding to dismantling side (15), from the other part of forage harvester (1).

EFFECT: possibility of simplified dismantling of the preparation device is provided.
