FIELD: pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical and food industries, namely, to methods for extracting biologically active substances from plant raw materials. The method for extracting the sum of curcuminoids from the roots of turmeric involves extraction of the raw materials using ultrasound with a frequency in the range from 17 to 22 kHz at a time of impact of 35 minutes with a singular volume of acetone of 20 to 30 ml per 1 g of raw materials, at a temperature from 40 to 55°C. Ultrasonic extraction of impurities from the acetone extract is then executed in a singular volume of 10 to 30 ml of hexane per 1 g of acetone extract for 50 to 60 minutes at a temperature of 40°C.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of obtaining sums of curcuminoids from the roots of turmeric with a priority content of curcumin.
