FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for measuring small defects in glass sheets, embedded in a process line in a system for glass sheet processing. The claimed device for detecting small defects installed in the process line in the system for glass sheet processing contains a single-line camera, a clear screen containing contrasting elements arranged in the form of a preset pattern, an upstream conveyor and a downstream conveyor, while the upstream conveyor and the downstream conveyor are located one after the other at a distance from each other to form a gap of the selected size, so that the camera can receive a set of images of the clear screen, when a part of a glass sheet without support is transported over the gap, and a computing device programmed to implement logic in order to obtain an image data set containing the set of images of the clear screen and identify small defects in glass based on this data. The system may also contain an identifier of a part of a glass sheet and a programmable control device containing logic for analyzing received image data and selecting an area of interest on a glass sheet for analysis.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of detecting and measuring small defects in glass sheets.
