FIELD: engineering elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to restoration of non-assembled ball joints, primarily in the suspension elements of tractors. The ball joint is opened, cleaned from dirt and residue of the destroyed polymer. The ball pin of the ball joint is restored by applying a layer of an anti-friction nanopolymer composition with a thickness of 100 to 120 mcm onto the spherical surface, then the ball pin with a spherical surface is installed in the body of the hinge exactly in the centre, or the ball pin with a cutoff of the spherical surface is installed in the body of the hinge exactly in the centre, on a spring reinforced with a plug, then the body of the hinge is gradually compressed along the spherical surface by pressing with clamping apparatuses of a press and/or rolling a bending roller over the entire surface of the body of the hinge, followed by securing a dirt protection cap on the ball pin and the body of the hinge.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of simplifying the process of restoring a ball joint, increasing the service life thereof due to the elimination of accidents from the ball pin falling from the body of the hinge, and increasing the maintainability in further operation.
