FIELD: chemical and physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for ion exchange processes. Ion-exchange plant comprises an ion-exchange filter, including upper and lower drain-distributing devices, a layer of ionite particles and a layer of inert material particles, a pipe with a shut-off device connected to an ion-exchange filter, a tank in the upper part of which there is a nozzle for air supply and discharge, which is made with the possibility of receiving through the pipe part of the inert material with water to ensure the following conditions of the filter layers during operation. For the steps of water purification, regeneration and washing, a fixed layer of ion-exchange particles and a layer of inert material particles are located from top to bottom along the height of the ion-exchange filter, for the step of stopping the supply of water into the ion-exchange apparatus, a layer of ionite particles, a free volume and a layer of particles of inert material are located from top to bottom along the height of the ion-exchange filter, for the stage of backwashing, a layer of fluidised ionite and a layer of particles of inert material are located from top to bottom along the height of the ion-exchange filter.
EFFECT: possibility of ion-exchange water treatment using ion-exchange materials with density less than density of the treated water.
