FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the extraction of silver in production of tin, namely to the separation of silver through fractional crystallisation. Method includes separating, by fractional crystallisation (300), a molten mixture (8) of crude tin containing lead and silver into a first liquid silver-enriched discharged product (9) on the side of the liquid fraction produced at the crystallisation stage, and a first tin-enriched product (10) on the side of the crystalline fraction produced at the crystallisation stage. The metal composition produced in the form of the first liquid silver-enriched discharge product (9) herein consists, as calculated by dry weight, of 6.0 to 27.5% wt. lead, 72.5 to 91% wt. tin, 95.0 to 99.0% wt. combined lead and tin, 0.75 to 4.50% wt. silver, and at least 0.24% wt. antimony.
EFFECT: concentration of silver in the discharged product is increased.
