The aerosol-generating product intended for use in an aerosol-generating apparatus comprises an aerosol-forming material heated in the aerosol-generating apparatus, wherein the aerosol-forming material comprises tobacco material, a non-encapsulated flavouring agent and an encapsulated flavouring agent released when heated by the aerosol-generating apparatus to the threshold temperature, wherein the aerosol-forming material constitutes a component of the product in the form of a rod containing at least two coaxial sections, wherein said sections have a different composition.
