SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to a system and a method for determining a milk ejection reflex. The system contains a device with a breast overlay for a breast pump, a signal processing unit, a physiological sensor unit. The physiological sensor unit is designed for receiving a signal of a perceived physiological parameter from the second breast. The second breast is opposite to the first breast. When implementing the method, the device with the breast overlay is fixed on the first breast of a woman. The signal of the perceived physiological parameter is received from the second breast that is opposite to the first breast. The signal of the perceived physiological parameter characterizes the fluid content in the second breast and has constant and variable components. Using the signal processing unit, DC and AC components in the signal of the perceived physiological parameter are analyzed. The DC component in the signal of the perceived physiological parameter is estimated. Using the system, the milk ejection reflex is determined based on the change of the constant component of the signal of the perceived physiological parameter characterizing the fluid content in the second breast.

EFFECT: possibility of detecting the direct beginning of the milk flow in breast, i.e., the presence of the milk ejection reflex is provided without delay and with high accuracy degree.
