FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining a structure-directing agent (hereinafter – SDA) for the synthesis of crystalline molecular sieves is proposed, including stages of: a. hydrolysis of alkyl sulfate counterion of quaternary ammonium salt to obtain organic ammonium salt containing hydrosulfate counterion; and b. contact of organic ammonium salt containing hydrosulfate counterion with a hydroxide source in a solution to form organic ammonium salt containing hydroxide counterion; where quaternary ammonium salt includes ammonium ion selected from N,N-dimethyl-3,5-dimethylpiperidinium; N,N-diethyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidinium; N,N-dimethyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidinium; N-ethyl-N-methyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidinium; N,N-diethyl-2-ethylpiperidinium; N,N-dimethyl-2-ethylpiperidinium; N-ethyl-N-methyl-2-ethylpiperidinium; and N-ethyl-N-propyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidinium, and where organic ammonium salt is a structure-directing agent (SDA) for the synthesis of crystalline molecular sieves.
EFFECT: new improved method for obtaining structure-directing agents (SDA) used for the synthesis of crystalline molecular sieves (for example, zeolite) is developed that is improved due to fast formation of the set SDA in a hydroxide form without the need of metal ion exchange.
