SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for casting a sheet of alkaloid-containing material. The method includes: providing a container having a hole; providing a molding knife; providing a movable support passing under the container hole; filling the container with pulp; casting a sheet of tobacco material in the form of alkaloid-containing material to the movable support using the molding knife; measuring changes in height of the movable support; and changing the height of the molding knife, if such changes in height of the movable support are present.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at providing a method for casting a sheet of homogenized tobacco material, preferably for an aerosol generating product, which provides the possibility of forming a material sheet with more homogenous thickness and, consequently, increased homogeneity of properties of aerosol generating products that are directly or indirectly related to the material sheet thickness.
