SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. The pneumatic tire contains ridges (4A, 4B) located on the surfaces of the sidewalls of the blocks (3A, 3B) and extending in the direction along the circumference of the tire. In addition, the X plane is local and is defined so that it contains the edge of the contact spot with the ground of the first and second blocks (3A, 3B) and an arc connecting the open end sections of three ground-engaging grooves (2) forming the first and second blocks (3A, 3B). In this case, the ridges (4A, 4B) of the first and second blocks (3A, 3B) extend the side walls of the ground-engaging grooves (2) to the outside in the transverse direction of the tire further than the plane (X) through one edge section (31A, 31B) of the blocks (3A, 3B) located along the circumference. Moreover, the size of the ridge projection (4A, 4B) relative to the plane (X) gradually decreases from one edge section located along the circumference (31A, 31B) to another edge section located along the circumference (32A, 32B) of blocks (3A, 3B).
EFFECT: increase in the cooling efficiency of the tread section.
