SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing fertilizer particles containing an alternative boron source. The method for producing particles of a fertilizer containing ammonium nitrate and a boron source includes the formation of a fertilizer melt, where the fertilizer melt is NPK melt containing ammonium nitrate or calcium nitrate melt containing ammonium nitrate, addition of a boron source in the form of particles of colemanite or ulexite with a median particle size in a range from 1 to 100 mcm to the melt, while particles of colemanite or ulexite are in contact with the fertilizer melt for less than 100 seconds, if the specified melt contains NPK fertilizer, or particles of colemanite or ulexite are in contact with the fertilizer melt for less than 600 seconds, if the specified melt contains calcium nitrate. Then, the granulation of homogenous fertilizer particles from the obtained fertilizer melt is carried out.

EFFECT: proposed method for producing particles of a fertilizer containing ammonium nitrate and a boron source provides for obtaining a fertilizer containing negligible amounts or non-detected levels of sodium borates or boric acid, while fertilizer particles are homogenous, which is desirable for fertilizers providing the boron delivery to plants in high amounts.
