A method for stimulating autophagy in a subject, with a stage of introducing an effective dose of an inducer into the body, wherein the "Abisil", "Abisil-1" or "Abisil-2" agent is used as such an inducer and stimulation of autophagy ensures treatment of a condition associated with mitochondrial dysfunction.

EFFECT: above group of inventions provides a possibility of increasing the stability and effectiveness of impact on the cells and reducing the toxicity of plant-based agents, stimulating the process of eliminating dysfunctional cellular components by autophagy, leading to alleviation and treatment of conditions associated with mitochondrial dysfunction.
