SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to cable engineering; it can be used in the manufacture of thin wire containing rare earth metals for conductive cores of heat-resistant wires and cables. A method for manufacturing a cast workpiece with a fine-crystal structure from aluminum alloys containing rear earth metals includes preparing master alloy, its refining, loading to a furnace, extracting in a matrix, while the extraction of the cast workpiece is carried out at a melting point of 710-720°C, extraction speed of 12-16 mm/s and matrix diameter of 2.5-4.0 mm.

EFFECT: invention allows for manufacturing a cast workpiece with a diameter of 2.5-3.5 mm with a fine-crystal structure to obtain thin wire with a diameter of 0.08-0.010 mm from it.
