FIELD: technological processes; glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of decorating glass and articles made from it, namely to methods of applying titanium oxide on glass articles, and can be used in the glass industry. Air is evacuated from the sputtering chamber to vacuum of 0.02 Pa and the basket with glass articles is rotated at a speed of rotation of basket of 2 rpm. Then, argon gas is fed at pressure of 0.06 Pa and a source of ion cleaning of the surface of glass articles is switched on at the following parameters: anode voltage of 3 kV, anode current of 200 mA and cleaning time of 20 minutes. Surface layer of glass articles is cleaned by bombardment in high vacuum with argon ions with energy of 100–100,000 eV, which spray the surface layer with removal of adsorbed atoms and oxides. Then the arc evaporator with the VT1-0 titanium target is switched on. Oxygen reactive gas with pressure of 0.2 Pa is fed into the chamber, and at current of inverter sources of 130–150 A, a layer of titanium oxide is deposited on glass products for 4–25 minutes. In another embodiment, after cleaning, a magnetron sputtering source with VT1-0 titanium targets is switched on and at argon gas pressure of 0.05 Pa, a reflecting titanium layer is applied on the surface of glass products for 15 minutes at the following parameters: source current 9–10 A and voltage 380–400 V.
EFFECT: higher strength of decorative coating.
