FIELD: drink preparation system.

SUBSTANCE: system for preparing a quantity of drink suitable for consumption, comprising a replaceable capsule (4A, 4B) having a cup-shaped body (6A, 6B) and a lid (12A, 12B), and comprising a device. The device is comprised of the first cooking chamber part (18) having a cavity for holding a replaceable capsule (4A, 4B), and the second cooking chamber part (20) for closing the first cooking chamber part (18) to form a cooking chamber (16). The second cooking chamber part (20) has a sealing element (36, 37) to provide a liquid-tight seal between the second cooking chamber part (20) and the cover (12A, 12B) of the replacement capsule (4A, 4B). The sealing element (36, 37) contains an air vent groove (40) forming an air vent hole between the sealing element (36, 37) and the capsule cover (12A, 12B) to allow air from the cooking chamber (16) to escape to the outside of the apparatus during the supply of liquid under pressure into the brewing chamber (16) to prepare the drink.

EFFECT: provision of a system for preparing a beverage in which post-seepage is eliminated or at least reduced.
