FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an orthopedic implant. The orthopedic implant comprises a metal surface, activated by etching with sodium hydroxide, and a layer of calcium phosphate applied by deposition from a supersaturated solution on at least part of the metal surface. The layer of calcium phosphate, when conducting x-ray diffraction, forms a diffraction peak (002) with the diffraction angle 2θ equal to 26±2° and a diffraction peak (112) with the diffraction angle equal to 32±2°, wherein the diffraction peak (002) has an intensity 1.5 to 10 greater than the intensity of the diffraction peak (112), so that the layer of calcium phosphate is more textured in the crystal orientation (002) than in the crystal orientation (112).
EFFECT: production of a coating made of calcium phosphate, rapidly formed, with a microstructure allowing for uniform decomposition within a period of several weeks without the formation of particles.
