FIELD: glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of multilayer glazing, more specifically to multilayer glazing of cars, in particular used as windshields or side windows. Multilayer glazing contains the first sheet of colored glass and the second sheet of colorless glass, which are connected to each other by means of a layered layer. First sheet has thickness e1 ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 mm. Second sheet has thickness e2 ranging from 0.4 to 1.9 mm. Ratio R=e2/e12 is not more than 0.40 mm−1. Glazing has light transmission of at least 70 % and direct solar transmission of not more than 55 %. Colored glass has a chemical composition comprising a weight content of total iron, expressed in the form of Fe2O3, ranging from 1.1 to 2.0 %, with redox ratio defined as ratio between weight content of ferrous iron, expressed in form of FeO, and weight content of total iron, expressed in form of Fe2O3, varies from 0.23 to 0.32.
EFFECT: creation of glass with the desired resistance to gravel impact, as well as good optical and energy properties.
