METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF THROMBOSIS AND BLEEDING IN CRITICAL PATIENTS WITH COVID-19 UNDER CONDITIONS OF ECMO Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/86 G01N33/68 G01N33/49 G01N33/569

Abstract RU 2766350 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to anesthesiology, resuscitation, and can be used for prediction of thrombosis and bleeding in critical patients with COVID-19 under conditions of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Following parameters are determined: volume of heparinization with unfractionated heparin (IU/kg/h), activated partial thromboplastin time (sec), activity level of antithrombin-III (%), concentration of nitrogen oxide (mcmol/l), concentration of malondialdehyde (nmol/ml), concentration of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE units), total antioxidant status (mmol/l). Measured values are assigned points in accordance with Table 1. Obtained points are summed up. If the total score is 7 to 10, a low degree of risk of thrombosis and bleeding is predicted. If the total score is from 11 to 16 inclusive, the average degree is stated. If the total score is from 17 to 21 inclusive, the high degree is observed.

EFFECT: method enables to predict the risk of thrombosis or bleeding in critical patients with COVID-19 undergoing an ECMO procedure, based on an assessment of a number of laboratory values, which enables to establish the probability of life-threatening complications for the purpose of timely implementation of preventive and therapeutic measures.
