FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endoscopic examinations. First stage involves lavage of a deformed bronchus and, additionally, two bronchi of the same order adjacent to the deformed bronchus. Atypical cells, as well as acid-fast mycobacteria (AFM) are determined in bronchoalveolar fluid by methods of inoculation and microscopy of sediment according to Ziehl-Neelsen. At the second stage, brush biopsy is performed from the mouth of the deformed bronchus and additionally brush biopsy of two bronchi of the same order adjacent to the deformed bronchus. Obtained material from each bronchus is deposited on two separate slides for subsequent cytological examination and bacterioscopy of the sediment by the Ziehl-Neelsen method. At the third stage, a pinch biopsy is performed from a spur of a deformed bronchus for histological examination with preliminary creation of imprinted smears for additional cytological examination. Before placing the fragments of the biopsy tissue into a transport container with 10 % formalin solution, imprinted smears are made on 1–2 slides for additional cytological examination. At the fourth stage, a brush biopsy is performed from the distal bronchus of the previous order, from which the deformed bronchus extends. Material is applied on two slides. That is followed by cytological examination and bacterioscopy of the sediment by the Ziehl-Neelsen method. If observing at least one of the stages of atypical cells, the tumour process is verified; if observing the AFM, the tuberculosis process is detected; if the tumour and tuberculosis lesions are excluded, the nonspecific inflammatory genesis of tracheobronchial tree deformations is verified.
EFFECT: method allows to confirm or exclude tumour or tuberculosis or nonspecific inflammatory genesis of pathological changes, to increase accuracy of diagnosis due to verification of pathological changes not only in deformed bronchus, but also in adjacent anatomical areas.
