FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. If a unilateral defect in the mucoperichondrium of the septum is detected in a patient during septoplasty due to a curvature of the nasal septum, the defect is replaced with an autograft. A combined autograft is formed. To do this, a fragment of quadrangular cartilage larger by at least 2 mm on each side of the identified unilateral defect is partially resected. A fragment of the mucous membrane is cut out of the hypertrophied posterior end of the lower nasal concha, corresponding to the size of the cartilage fragment. A fragment of the mucous membrane is fixed with absorbable suture material vicryl 3.0 along the edges of a fragment of quadrangular cartilage. The combined autograft is reimplanted between the leaves of the mucoperichondrium in the area of the unilateral defect. The graft is fixed with sutures to the nasal septum.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to prevent the development of complications in the form of perforations of the nasal septum in the postoperative period.
