METHOD FOR FIXATION OF MUCOPERICHONDRAL FLAPS IN SEPTOPLASTY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2729445 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to otorhinolaryngology. Wound edges are brought together and fixed with interrupted sutures. Fixation is performed by means of an autologous cartilage plate with size of 0.3×0.5 cm and absorbable surgical suture. Needles are inserted in plate of autologous cartilage outside nasal cavity and under vision control needle is introduced into lower flap of rupture on the side of duplicated mucosa and needle is brought into nasal cavity. Needle is pricked into the upper flap of the mucous membrane (MM), then it is removed in the duplication of MM of the nasal septum, after which the needle is removed from the nasal cavity. Then, plate of autologous cartilage is sutured and tightened with suture towards duplication of MM of nasal septum.

EFFECT: method allows increasing fixity of mucoperichondrium rags, providing healing of nasal mucosa without defects, and reducing operation length.
