FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Method of design and experimental determination of dynamic moment in power unit of transport machine consists in determination of actual engine torque by signals of engine shaft rpm transducers and fuel feed control element position. Based on the spectral analysis of the engine rpm sensor signal, the carrier frequency is selected and the range of its variation is determined. Based on the use of cyclic functions for calculating the frequency of each cycle, the time function of the filtered modulating signal induced to the modulated carrier frequency is determined. By differentiating and normalizing this function, angular acceleration of the motor shaft and, accordingly, the dynamic torque function are determined. Amplitude-frequency function of the moment is determined based on the direct Fourier transform.

EFFECT: experimental evaluation of dynamic loading is carried out.
