SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of confirming the correctness of a message. Network node receives, via interface between network node and additional network node, a message containing paired user equipment (UE) identifiers for identifying the UE through an interface for a network node and an additional network node, respectively. In response to determining that the identifier, for identifying the UE for the network node, uniquely identifies the UE for the network node, network node confirms the correctness of the message regardless of whether the identifier uniquely identifies the UE for the additional network node, the UE for the additional network node.

EFFECT: providing cost-effective and/or efficient processing of application layer protocol identification data (AP ID) for a logical connection associated with user equipment (UE).
