SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for high-precision determination of various physical properties (concentration, mixture of substances, moisture content, density, and so forth) of liquids in containers (process tanks, measuring cells, etc.). Essence of the claimed solution lies in the fact that in the method of measuring physical properties of a dielectric liquid, in which electromagnetic waves are excited in each of two sections of a coaxial long line, which serve as sensitive elements of measuring channels, working and reference, and filled with the controlled liquid and the reference liquid, respectively, the value of the informative parameter of each of the sensitive elements is measured and the value of the measured physical property of the liquid is determined from the difference of these values of the informative parameter, at that, as pieces of coaxial long line there used are a set of coaxially arranged two metal cylinders and a central conductor coaxial to them, wherein the inner surface of the inner cylinder serves as the outer conductor of one of the sections of the coaxial long line, and its outer surface serves as the inner conductor of the other section of the coaxial long line, the excitation of electromagnetic waves in each of the two sections of the coaxial long line is carried out at a fixed frequency, as the informative parameter of each sensitive element, the phase shift of the excited electromagnetic waves and electromagnetic waves propagating along the corresponding section of the coaxial long line and received at the same or opposite end is used, and the value of the measured physical property of the liquid is determined from the difference in phase shift values in two sections of the coaxial long line.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring physical properties of a dielectric liquid.
