SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment, in particular to devices for contactless measurement of inner diameter of metal pipes. Technical result is achieved by the fact that a device comprising a fixed frequency electromagnetic oscillation generator connected to it by a first communication line, a first communication element located at one end of the metal pipe, for exciting electromagnetic waves on a pipe section, a second coupling element located at the other end of the pipe for receiving electromagnetic oscillations, to which a first detector is connected by the input, the output is connected to the first input of the functional converter, second input of which is connected to the output of the second detector, the input of which is connected to the oscillation generator, and the recorder connected to the output of this converter, further comprises a dielectric pipe of the same length, which is placed inside the pipe section, inside of which there is a first communication line with a first coupling element at one end of the dielectric pipe and a second communication line with a second coupling element at its other end.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the device.
