FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for generating energy by nuclear fission. Proposed device comprises core container made from core material with inner tubular structure. Note here that inner tubular structure and/or core container has inlet and outlet. Device additionally contains molten fuel salt with fissile material and molten retarding salt containing at least one metal hydroxide, at least one metal deuteroxide or a combination thereof, as well as a redox element having a higher reduction potential than the reduction potential of the material of the inner pipe structure or the material of the inner pipe structure and the material of the core container. Molten retarding salt is located in the core container, and the molten fuel salt is located in the inner pipe structure. Also, the molten fuel salt can be located in the container of the core, and the molten moderating salt can be located in the inner pipe structure.
EFFECT: possibility of providing compactness and durability of a nuclear reactor on molten salts with the possibility of optimizing the power of the reactor core.
