The hopper car includes running gears (1), automatic couplers (2), a frame (3) and a body (4) consisting of side (5) and end (6) walls, bins (7) equipped with unloading hatches, and a roof (9) equipped with loading hatches (10). The hook of the locking mechanism is rigidly fixed on the roof of the car. On the cover of the loading hatch, a locking mechanism limiter is rigidly fixed, containing two plates, pivotally connected to the handle, forming a single lock structure. The handle contains two rings, one of which is a handle, and the second is a lock. In the closed position, the hook, handle and limiter are connected by a latch, and the handle is located between the limiter plates.

EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of a simpler, more convenient and reliable design of the hopper car.
