FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. The commercial variety of spring soft wheat "Lyubava 5", containing the recessive alleles b1b1, which determine the awn of the ear, is crossed with the awnless line of spring soft wheat "476-10" and plants of the F1 generation are self-pollinated up to the F2. generation. In the F2 progeny, awned plants are removed, and the remaining awnless plants are analyzed using the molecular markers b1for/Znfrev and B1for/Znfrev, and plants with the B1B1 genotype, which determines the absence of awns in common wheat, are selected.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the period of creation of constant awnless forms of soft wheat and expand the functionality of the known method.
