FIELD: medicine; training.

SUBSTANCE: simulator for practicing surgical stages of laparoscopic fundoplication techniques in treating hiatal hernia includes a transparent polymethyl methacrylate platform with size of 16 × 16 cm with thickness of 0.5 cm, plate of polymethyl methacrylate 8 cm high and 16 cm wide, fixed on the far part of one third of the platform at angle of 65 degrees from the trainee, and a simulation complex in the form of a simulator of a portion of an oesophagus with a simulator of a stomach. A through hole in the form of an isosceles triangle is formed in the centre of the transparent plate, which imitates a hernia orifice in the oesophageal opening of the diaphragm. Hemispherical rollers 7 mm wide, 50 mm long and 6 mm high made of polyurethane sealant, imitating a muscular mass of diaphragm legs, are fixed to two sides of the triangle, which are equal to 5 cm. Simulation complex is made of synthetic elastic tissue 3 mm thick and is made with possibility of passing through hole in form of isosceles triangle and fixation with clamps.

EFFECT: providing development of the laparoscopic method of treating hiatal hernia.
