SET OF SIMULATORS FOR DEVELOPING BASIC MANUAL SKILLS IN LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2769295 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment for training medical personnel. Set of simulation simulators for developing basic manual skills in laparoscopic surgery, comprising six simulators, each representing a transparent rectangular platform of polymethylmethacrylate measuring 16*16 cm and thickness 0.5 cm. First simulator is designed to form manual skills and comprises cork coating 16*16 cm and thickness of 1 cm, mounted on a platform with the possibility of fixing to it with needles of a cadaver material, for example, a loop of a small intestine to form an anastomosis. Second simulator is made for brush rotation, on one side of its platform there is a wire structure made of steel knitting wire with diameter of 2 mm in the form of five semicircles, 3 of which are directed upwards, and two downwards, on the wire with the possibility of conducting from the beginning to the end of the structure there are two rubber rings, the small of which has an outer diameter of 12 mm and an inner diameter of 8 mm, and the large ring has an inner diameter of 18 mm and an outer diameter of 22 mm, on the opposite side of the platform there is a wire structure made of steel tying wire with diameter of 2 mm, intended for sequential carrying of rubber rings from the beginning to the end of the structure, consisting of eleven perpendicular parts, six of which are vertical and five are horizontal with length of 3.5 cm, wherein two vertical parts are load-bearing, their length is 5.5 cm, and four are internal with length of 4 cm, parts of structure form 10 angles of 90° each. Third simulator is designed for free manipulation in closed space. and contains ten screws-rings made of metal wire with diameter of 2.5 mm with internal holes with diameter of 8 mm and external diameter of 13 mm, located on the platform along the line and perpendicular to it at equal distance from each other, and an elastic capron rope with length of 25 cm and diameter of 3 mm for passing through said rings. Fourth simulator is designed to train the interaction of the leading and secondary arms and contains 12 metal columns from stainless steel with height of 3 cm and diameter of 0.2 cm, located on the platform symmetrically in two groups of 6 columns, 6 silicone transparent tubes and 6 silicone rings with inner diameter of 1.3 cm and outer diameter of 2.4 cm and thickness of 3 mm are placed on one of the groups of columns with the possibility of removal and transfer to the columns of the other group. Fifth simulator is made for training of precision and attention and contains a box placed on the platform, divided into three compartments with length of 3 cm, width of 2 cm and depth of 1.5 cm each, in each compartment there are 20 beads of three different colors with diameter of 7 mm; opposite the box there are 45 cavities forming three groups, with diameter of 5 mm and depth of 2 mm. Sixth simulator is designed to work with laparoscopic scissors, at the corners of its platform there are 4 metal spring mini-clamps with length of 2 cm, between the clamps there fixed is a flap of non-woven synthetic spunbond fabric with size of 13*13 cm, on which a double-contour graphic pattern is applied with a distance between the inner and outer patterns of 0.5 cm for cutting the graphic pattern without disturbing the inner and outer contours. Set of simulators for development of basic manual skills in laparoscopic surgery relates to medical simulation training simulators for formation of basic manual skills in laparoscopic surgery. Set consisting of 6 simulators forms the whole range of fundamental skills in laparoscopic surgery: the first simulator for formation of manual skills; second simulator for training hand rotation; third simulator for free manipulation in closed space; fourth simulator for master and secondary hands interaction; fifth simulator for training precision and attention; sixth simulator for working with laparoscopic scissors. Simulators have ergonomic transparent platforms made of polymethyl methacrylate, on which structures are installed, which allow to develop and form laparoscopic skills from the initial stages of acquiring manual laparoscopic techniques.

EFFECT: providing development of basic manual skills in laparoscopic surgery.
