SUBSTANCE: invention relates to accumulation and conversion of energy, in particular to conversion of kinetic or potential energy of fluid medium, for example gas, into electric energy. Proposed device comprises flow chamber with fluid inlet and outlet. Pair of charge accumulation electrodes are located at a distance from each other along the charge accumulation direction and are placed inside the flow chamber. Electric field generator is configured to generate an electric field in the flow chamber along the direction of the field for separation of charged particles in the fluid medium. Fluid medium flow path between the inlet and outlet holes can have a direction with a component along the first direction and a component along the second direction. Also disclosed is a system comprising a device and a related method. Invention can be used, for example, in providing an energy source for an electric vehicle.
EFFECT: expansion of arsenal of technical means providing conversion of energy of fluid medium into electric energy.
