SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used for the manufacture of space structures, in particular honeycomb panels intended for the manufacture of, for example, hulls of non-pressurized spacecraft (SC), which have support nodes, in the form of an insert installed in the hole of the honeycomb panel, intended for fastening structures, instruments and equipment on its surface. The way to install the embedded insert in the honeycomb panel is to install an insert with a central threaded hole and two flanges into the hole of the honeycomb panel. Holes are made in the upper flange for supplying the adhesive composition into the voids between the honeycomb filler and the central part of the insert. A clamping element is installed on the upper flange with holes coaxial with the holes of the insert, through which the foaming adhesive composition is introduced into the voids between the honeycomb filler and the central part of the insert, after which the adhesive composition is polymerized and then the clamping element is dismantled.

The insert is made with a height equal to the thickness of the honeycomb panel. The insert is connected to the clamping element by means of a bolted connection and the position of the insert in the honeycomb panel hole is adjusted relative to the mating plane of the clamping element and the honeycomb panel skin.

EFFECT: increasing the local strength and bearing capacity of the support unit by increasing the number of skins and honeycomb involved in the work; expansion of functionality due to the possibility of applying loads to the insert from either side of the honeycomb panel; increasing the ease of installation due to the bolted connection that connects the clamping element and the insert.
