SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a control device and a method by which elastic particles can be visually inspected, in particular to ensure a specific shape and/or color of the particles. Particles can be checked for surface contamination. Disclosed is a device for sorting butyl rubber particles, comprising conveyor belt (12) for feeding a plurality of particles in a horizontal direction, drain channel (14) for ensuring the particles fall down under the action of gravity, wherein drain channel (14) is located after conveyor belt (12) along the process flow and has wall (26), at least one gate (16) for preventing the horizontal component of movement of particles leaving conveyor belt (12), wherein at least one gate (16) is located after conveyor belt (12) along the process flow, wherein gate (16) is flexible in horizontal direction to dissipate kinetic energy of particle, aligned in horizontal direction, detection system (24) for determining color and/or size of particles in discharge channel (14), wherein detection system (24) is configured to inspect particles on one side only and comprises light generator (22) configured to generate reference light beam (20), trajectory of which between the output hole of the light beam generator (22) and the input of the control light beam (20) into discharge channel (14) is at least partially covered with dust shield (36) to prevent the ingress of particles into the output hole, as well as deflecting device (30) for deflecting particles, installed between outlet opening of discharge channel (14) and dustproof screen (36), wherein part of wall (26) of discharge channel (14) is light-reflecting for reference light (20) coming from detection system (24), wherein the light-reflecting part of wall (26) of the channel is located opposite the input of control light (20) into discharge channel (14).
EFFECT: invention discloses a device for sorting butyl rubber particles and a method of sorting butyl rubber particles.
