FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding wires manufactured from aluminum-magnesium alloys. Welding wire is obtained from an aluminum-magnesium alloy containing: aluminum, magnesium, titanium, 0.001 wt.% or less of boron, 0.12 wt.% or less of iron, and 0.12 wt.% or less of silicon, while the mass ratio of titanium to boron is 25:1 or more. A method for obtaining aluminum-magnesium alloys includes combination of a pre-alloyed mixture with an additive reducing a grain size, and cold drawing of the resulting aluminum-magnesium alloy with the manufacture of welding wire.
EFFECT: aluminum-magnesium alloys demonstrate high characteristics of wire cold drawing.
