FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: certain aspects of the present invention provide for a thermally stable laser probe assembly containing a cannula, while multicore optical fiber passes, at least partially, through the cannula to transmit laser radiation from a laser source to a target location. The probe assembly additionally contains a GRIN lens placed in the cannula, and a protective component (cylindrical window) pressed into the distal end of the cannula, while the GRIN lens is located between multicore optical fiber and the protective component.
EFFECT: obtaining a thermally stable laser probe assembly.
