FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: use: for measuring small concentrations of molecules in liquid and gaseous media. The substance of the invention consists in the fact that the optical sensor based on plasmon-induced transparency and Fano resonances consists of an optical prism, a layer of a precious metal wherein a surface plasmon is excited, a subsequent separating dielectric layer with a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the prism, a waveguide layer, located behind the separating layer, with a higher refractive index than the separation layer, wherein the layer of a precious metal and, accordingly, the above subsequent layers are applied to separate transparent plate connected with the prism via an immersion liquid with the same refractive index as the prism and the plate, wherein the layers are applied to the side of the plate opposite to the prism.
EFFECT: increase in the sensitivity of the apparatus.
