FIELD: traffic safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of traffic safety. In the method for preventing collisions of vehicles on road sections outside populated areas, data is transmitted to the server from vehicles moving outside populated areas, and identifying the numbers of cellular communication devices of road users in real time. Also, cartographic data is transmitted to the server, including, for example, the type of road surface, relief, weather conditions. If a dangerous zone is detected, the server, in the process of analytical processing of the received data, calculates the visibility distance, tire friction coefficient, coordinates and direction of movement of vehicles. If the vehicles are in the danger zone, the server calculates the safe distance between them and, if a critical value is received, sends an alarm to the vehicle.
EFFECT: expanding the functionality of the method.
