FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. A method is proposed for predicting the risk of developing fetal growth retardation syndrome in pregnant women who are natives of the Central Chernozem region of Russian nationality and have an aggravated family history of fetal growth retardation. This method includes isolation of DNA from peripheral venous blood and analysis of polymorphism of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) gene.
EFFECT: improvement of method for predicting the risk of developing fetal growth retardation syndrome in pregnant women.
