SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine. A method is proposed for predicting the risk of developing fetal growth retardation (FGR) in unrelated Russian individuals, natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation and living in the Belgorod region. DNA is isolated from peripheral venous blood. The genetic markers rs7538038 KISS1 and rs999460 NKX2-1 are analyzed. An increased risk of developing FGR is predicted by a model of epistatic interactions of polymorphic menarche loci, which includes the rs7538038 AA KISS1 and rs999460 AA NKX2-1 genotypes.

EFFECT: invention provides obtaining criteria for assessing the risk of developing FGR in pregnant Russians, natives of the Central Black Earth Region of the Russian Federation, based on data on the menarche polymorphic loci rs7538038 KISS1 and rs999460 NKX2-1.
