FIELD: protective engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is used for protection against icing of steel cable, guy wires used in suspension bridge structures. The device for protection against guy wire icing contains the fastener of the limiter in the form of an oblong part, fitting the surface of the guy wire, on which the limiter is transversely located. A flat reinforced hose is located between the sides of the limiter along the entire length of the guy wire shell. The guy wire shell, the fastener of the limiter and the flat reinforced hose are covered with an elastic protective coating. A flat rubber reinforced hose through the connection coupling and the hose is connected to a portable air generator.

EFFECT: increase in the quality of removing the ice crust from the bridge guy wire and an increase in the service life of the device.
