SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to prevent icing of the stay wires. The method for removing ice from the stay wire is that they act mechanically on the protective shell using devices placed in the gap between the stay wire and the protective shell. According to the first variant of the method, a protective shell made of high-strength thin soft material is used, and as these devices, pipes made of gas-tight elastic material are used, arranged evenly around the stay wire and their length along the stay wire. Each pipe is in a clamped state between the stay wire and the protective shell, and in the initial state, the cross-sectional width of each pipe, equal to the width of the gap between the stay wire and the protective shell, is less than the cross-sectional length of this pipe. The mechanical effect on the protective shell is ensured by the fact that gas or liquid with excessive pressure is supplied to at least one pipe, providing a change in the shape of at least one pipe and, under its influence, a change in the shape of the protective shell sufficient for the destruction and subsequent discharge of ice. Then, the pressure in this at least one pipe is relieved and an overpressure gas or liquid is supplied to another at least one pipe, the discharge and supply of gas or liquid are repeated until the ice is completely removed from the protective shell. According to the second variant of the method, a protective shell made of high-strength thin soft material is also used. At the same time, at least one device is used as a carriage covering the stay wire with sliding or rolling elements fixed on it, located along the carriage and offset relative to each other in the circumferential direction and in contact with the protective shell. A carriage is used that provides, in the contact zone of sliding or rolling elements with a protective shell, an increase in the width of the gap between the stay wire and the protective shell compared to the width of this gap outside the contact zone and, as a result, a change in the shape of the protective shell in the carriage passage zone during its movement, sufficient for the destruction and subsequent discharge of ice.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of solutions for removing ice from stay wires.
